Simon Haynes was born in Buckinghamshire and trained at the Royal Academy of Music (with Jean Anderson FRAM), the Royal College of Music, King's College Cambridge (where he was Senior Choral Scholar) and the Banff Centre for the Arts, Canada. He has worked as a pianist widely in recital and as rehearsal pianist for Glyndebourne Festival Opera, London Voices and London Sinfonietta Voices. He is the regular accompanist for the London Theatre Voices. He appears on the soundtrack of the forthcoming film "Submarine".
